High-rise living in DTLA doesn’t get much more central than the scenic South Park district. Alina’s proximity to L.A. Live and the Staples Center ensures that this is nightlife central. Translation: Stumble a block or two in any direction and you’re likely to find your new favorite watering hole.

Alina does upscale with a splash of style. Living large here in DTLA means luxurious touches by way of floor-to-ceiling windows with motorized shades, quartz countertops, custom cabinetry and video intercom access.

There are also ample opportunities to hang with your fellow high rollers (if you can tear yourself away from the bars). Amenities include a resort-style pool, movie theater and rooftop deck with killer views.

Move over, downtown. The first of only two entries outside the confines of DTLA is located in the heart of the Hollywood action. An L.A. classic with historic charm, Fleur De Lis dates back to 1930. Nearby, you can sip a martini at the iconic Musso and Frank Grill, mix cocktails and mysticism at the Magic Castle or brave the lines at the notorious speakeasy No Vacancy.

Beyond the high ceilings, arched entryways and period charm, the best thing about these apartments may just be the price. Efficiencies start at just $1,200 per month for 300-square-feet of prime Hollywood living space.

Methodology

We looked at all apartments in Los Angeles and rated them on the number of nightlife-related businesses within a half-mile radius. We used an exponentially decreasing scale based on distance from the apartment. For instance, bars located across the street from a specific property would carry more weight than those a quarter-mile away. Our establishment counts come from commercially available business listings and may not reflect recent openings and closings.
